This agreement covers your use of Motion Menu — the pattern library and the API. Plain language, because a licence nobody finishes reading protects nobody.
On an active plan, you are granted a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to use the patterns, blocks and generated code in this library:
Code you obtained while your plan was active stays licensed to you after the plan ends. Cancelling stops your access to the library and to new or updated patterns; it does not reach into work you have already shipped.
Your API key identifies your account, and you are responsible for keeping it private. Seats are per plan; if more people need access than your plan allows, add seats. Keys can be rotated at any time from your account, and a compromised key should be rotated immediately.
Motion Menu retains ownership of the library. You retain ownership of everything you create with it — your content, your design decisions, your sites. This licence grants use, not ownership of the source library.
The library is provided as is. Patterns are tested, and each one carries a verification status you can read before you use it, but no warranty is made that any pattern is fit for a particular purpose or will run identically in every browser, device or framework. To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months preceding a claim.
You are responsible for what you ship. Test what you build before it goes in front of a client.
Material changes to this agreement are emailed to active accounts rather than quietly published here. Either side may end the arrangement at any time; section 1's perpetual grant for code already obtained survives termination, as do sections 2, 5 and 6.
This agreement is governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
